Topoľčany is a small town in Western Slovakia with a population of about 30,000, lying 100km north-east of Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.
Mesto leží na Hornej Nitre, v širokom údolí rieky Nitra, medzi dvoma horskými pásmami, viditeľnými z mesta – Tribeč (východ) a Považský Inovec (západ). Centrom mesta prechádza železničná trať Nové Zámky – Prievidza, cesta II/499 na Piešťany a východným okrajom I/64 z Nitry na Žilinu.
