Lenzie is a small and affluent town on the borders of Dunbartonshire and Lanarkshire, six miles north-east of Glasgow city centre and a mile south of Kirkintilloch. It lies on the Edinburgh and Glasgow Railway, and the county border cuts right through Lenzie station. At the 2011 census, it had a population of 8,873. [1] .
