John Crowther (1837 – c. 1902) was an English watercolour painter. He exhibited at the Royal Academy and was commissioned by Charles Chadwyck-Healey to record the threatened architecture and streets of Victorian London.

It also highlights the significance of the study manual written by John Crowther in 1631 for his pupil Ralph Verney, who at the time was on the books of Magdalen Hall in Oxford. However, he does not feature in the university matriculation lists.
