    Greg was a founding member of the Allman Brothers Bandand a pioneer of Southern Rock. He was also the brother of Duane Allman. Gregg died on May 27, 2017 at his home in Savannah, Georgia. He was 69 years old.

    Duane died in a motorcycle crash on October 29, 1971 at the age of 24. Berry also died in a motorcycle crash just a few blocks away on November 11, 1972 at the age of 23. Both were founding members of the Allman Brothers Band.
