It is based on the lives of the fishermen living on coast of Tamil Nadu. This film marks the comeback of actor Arvind Swamy back on the big screen and also the debuts of Gautham Karthik and Thulasi Nair.
Sam comes to a coastal village as a local priest and reforms a wayward young boy Thomas (Gautham Karthik), who becomes very close to him. Thomas falls in love with Beatrice (Thulasi Nair), an innocent girl. Due to certain machinations of Bergman, the poor priest Sam is framed and sent to jail.
A tale of good vs evil, set in a Christian fisherman village in southern Tamil Nadu which has got Manirathnam’s technical flair but fails with its narrative force. There are a few brilliant moments and twists which works, but isn’t enough to save the sinking ship. The nativity of the region are well exhibited through its dialogues.
