To my mind, Jak 3 is the best in the series. The gameplay alone is the reason - they took everything good from Jak 2 and improved upon - light and dark eco, guns, hoverboard and we got some new fresh experiences like driving cars (I really enjoy them), riding dinos, remote controlling robots or flying the paraglider.
Jak 3 has more weapon variety, introduces Light Jak and also introduces a new eco consumption method to Dark Jak which makes it more than just a 'get out of jail free card'. Unfortunately, the weapon balance in 3 is off.

Coming from someone who's played and earned Platinum Trophy in Precursor Legacy 3 times, I am EXTREMELY disappointed with Jak 2 and just how awful it and Jak 3, as well as Combat Racing are, compared to Precursor Legacy.

Feb 7, 2007 · Jak 3 is much easier than Jak II and there are more checkpoints in Jak 3. These are both pluses in my book. In Jak II you never had to pull your Jak trigger and go into berserker mode, nor was there ever a good time to use it.
