   • The Noise is a little Sci-fy, a little disaster thriller, a little medical thriller, so cross-genre that you can't really put it into a category at all. I loved it, obviously, and highly recommend it, especially to those who are bored to tears with most of the stuff coming out right now.

   • While the first novel is a suspense thriller, I would describe The Noise as a medical-type thriller with strong elements of horror and hints of supernatural suspense.And although I haven’t previously read any of his novels, the fact that Mr Patterson has authored more than 200 novels since 1976, I frankly expected better.
