Mar 26, 2014 · If you have the SM400S I think you can get 500 Watts bridged into 4 Ohms (which you'd have with two 8 Ohm cabs in parallel). Output in stereo mode to each 8 Ohm cab would probably be around 150 Watts.
When using 2 ohm loads, the amplifier will run hotter than normal and the internal fan will be running most of the time. Minimum speaker load in the stereo mode is 2 ohms per side. When used in Bridge Mode, the SM-900 will deliver 440 watts into 16 ohms, 650 watts into 8 ohms and 900 watts into 4 ohm loads.

The SM-900 delivers a minimum of 900 Watts RMS into a 4 ohm load, and 650 Watts RMS into an 8 ohm load. Page 20 8 ohms per side. Although the minimum impedance that the SM-900 is designed to drive safely in the Stereo Mode is 2 ohms (per side), 4 ohms per side or greater is recommended.
