Mob Rules is the tenth studio album by English rock band Black Sabbath, released in November 1981. It followed 1980's Heaven and Hell, and was the second album to feature lead singer Ronnie James Dio and the first with drummer Vinny Appice. Neither musician would appear on a Black Sabbath studio album again until the 1992 album Dehumanizer. [4]
Feb 26, 2018 · Mob Rules is the best album Black Sabbath made with Ronnie Dio, ahead of both Heaven And Hall and Dehumanizer. It set a standard that Dio himself tried to emulate when he left Sabbath and made the Holy Diver record – which in a way was the natural successor to Mob Rules.
The former, starts off mellow and then features a great slow, plodding riff along with Dio's trademark epic vocals. It is a very dynamic track and comes close to Heaven and Hell's title track as the best Dio-era Sabbath song.
Apr 7, 2013 · Mob Rules is the last Black Sabbath release to include Ronnie James Dio on vocals until their 1992 release Dehumanizer. In terms of this being his final project with them, at least for now, Dio did an excellent job. This isn't my favourite Sabbath record, but it's still a good one.
