Aug 27, 2007 · I actually never installed EV Classic, but I played it using the Override engine by downloading the EV Classic plug-in. There are plenty of story line extensions and even story line replacements you can play using plug-ins.

I used to play it on both windows and Mac, and escape velocity override on Mac (actually looking forward to revisiting frozen heart as an adult). Is there an emulator or anything I can do? MacBook using M2 Pro with OS 13.5.2 (22G91)
You may have to wait for Cosmic Frontier (the modernized conversion/rebuild of the Escape Velocity engine) to come out. It’s supposed to be fully compatible with old EV data, so it should be about five minutes after it releases before someone has full instructions on how to get Nova working (the base game is a remastering of Override).
One of our project’s goals is backwards compatibility with Escape Velocity resources. This is not possible with Endless Sky, however much like EV it might look, as its resources are structured completely differently.
To run Mods and TCs, first install Community Edition (Windows) or WineNova (Mac), download the desired TC, and see the documentation for installation instructions. Don't hesitate to reach out to the community for help!
