  4. 1520 Lexington Ave. Alexander Bagby, a prominent lawyer who migrated to Ashland from Louisville, built this house about 1855. It is believed to be the first home built on Lexington Avenue and is among the oldest in all of Ashland. Bagby’s three-bay brick house represents a major 19th century house form.
