May 13, 2020 · How much worktop space do you have? The bigger microwave you need, the more space it will take up on your worktop. This won't be an issue if you have a roomier kitchen, but anyone tight on space will need to check that their chosen model isn't too large.
Most of the microwaves require around at least 3 inches all around, leave three inches of space between the walls and the top, sides, and rear of the microwave oven. But for this one if you can have at least 8 inches all around for safety reasons, and especially from the top since heat rises, will be great!

Sep 8, 2023 · My cabinets are 14” as opposed to standard 12” ones. The microwave I bought will not work unless bumped out from the wall by at least 1.5”. GE supposedly sells a black or white metal bump out kit that will push the microwave out by 3”.
Over-the-Range Microwaves and Advantium Ovens require a minimum 66" mounting height from the floor to top of the appliance. The 66" from the floor dimension will allow approximately 13" between the cooktop surface below and the bottom, front of the Microwave.
