Surrogates is a movie based on a comic book series about remote-controlled humanoid robots that enable people to live vicariously. FBI agent Tom Greer investigates the murder of a surrogate inventor and his son, and uncovers a conspiracy involving a virus that threatens to destroy all surrogates.
