Born in Colombia, Ferreira became FC Dallas' 16th homegrown player when he signed a contract at the clubin 2016, signing a first-team deal as a 15-year-old following his part in a title triumph for the club's academy side. Ferreira is a diminutive 5ft 8ins attacker who can drive teams forward, making the most accurate forward passes of any Dallas forward last season. He also has an eye for an assist, providing a team-leading nine across the campaign to go with his tally of eight goals.
Ferreira opened his account for the national side with two goals against Trinidad and Tobago in a friendly in Orlando in January 2021.
