Preview directions in Street View. Important: To get directions in Street View, enter a destination and tap Directions . On your Android phone or tablet, to view detailed directions, pull up the bottom window. If a preview is available for a step, a photo shows. To get to Street View for the step you want, tap the photo.

You can save a trip from a directions search or from the suggestions on the saved trips screen. Tip: You can save only driving, public transport and two-wheeler trips. To save a trip from a directions search: On your mobile device, open the Google Maps app . Search for a destination and tap Directions. Select a transportation mode.
On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app . Make sure you're connected to the internet and signed in to Google Maps. Search for a place, like San Francisco. At the bottom, tap the name or address of the place tap More Download offline map. If you searched for a place like a restaurant, tap More Download offline map Download.
Step 5: Download voice directions. Sometimes voice directions aren’t downloaded or must be updated on your device. When this happens, you’ll hear a chime instead of voice directions. Make sure you're connected to the internet. If you have a strong internet connection, voice directions download faster. Get directions.
