Grounded videos are a very common type of videos and a type of hate art where a person either original, from a video game, TV show, or movie performs a bad deed and thus getting themselves grounded for long periods of time (often longer then Chamoy Thipyaso's Sentence), it slowly declined in 2016 but some people still do grounded videos either on business friendly, Plotagon or in extremely rare cases traditionally or digitally animated.
They are related to Johnny Test hate art, and Barney Hate arts due to the fact that most people make grounded videos out of Caillou just to hate Caillou.
Grounded videos first started on August 8, 2008, when a user posted a grounded video in the Super Rica & Rashy theme, which was later removed. That video is still viewable on GoAnimate. The videos would not be famous and become a GoAnimate trend until mid-2011, when a now terminated user known as mrlegofan404 posted a video called "Brian Gets Grounded", which is a rare example of a grounded video with the Templates maker. Soon, they would later become a GoAnimate trend and surpass the original work percentages, calculating up to 85% of all GoAnimate videos being grounded videos.
All grounded videos are known to have the same formula despite different characters and plots, most likely because often when alot of people make grounded videos with unique formula, they get more dislikes.
They are often frawn upon alot of GoAnimate haters, and the elements grounded video formula came from tv shows episodes (suck as spongebob episode, mid life crustacean) containing a grounding scene, Black comedy, as well as hate arts of alot of tv shows, they are usually made by kids in various ages and often are repetitive.
