I am currently using the Zeiss SmartLife Individual with Transition Xtractive and have had nothing but praise for the lens. Now I am looking to replace my frame and was offered the option of going with the new Transition Xtractive Polarised. The cost difference is pretty steep.
I read from a thread here comparing costco/sams optical, and one point sams won out was the options they have for transition lens. I have been using Transition 7th gen for a couple of years, brown color only, also had a pair of drivewear sunglasses as well as the polarized Rxed sunglasses.
Sep 11, 2018 · If I wear polarized sunglasses and look at my polarized phone screen, it will be a solid black. But if I turn the orientation of my screen to vertical, I can see it clearly, with no glare. So be aware of double polarization effects, and different filters, that can make some colors darker.
Polarized lenses block this and you can magically see through the water like it was crystal clear. Photochromic lenses cannot do this but polarized lenses are only available as “sunglasses.” Meaning they’re gray, green, brown, etc and never clear.
