Altered Carbon is an American cyberpunk television series created by Laeta Kalogridis and based on the 2002 novel of the same title by English author Richard K. Morgan. [1] In a world where consciousness can be transferred to different bodies, Takeshi Kovacs, a former soldier turned investigator, is released from prison in order to solve a murder.
- The Raven Hotel. One of the more intriguing concepts in Altered Carbon is The Raven Hotel. Kovacs sets up shop here after his resurrection and finds the hotel staffed by an AI modeled after Edgar Allan Poe.
- Ghostwalker. Ortega is a bit lapse when it comes to her faith. The Ghostwalker is utterly devout to theirs, which happens to be murder. The Ghostwalker is an unquestioning servant of Reileen, killing his way through Bay City and eventually the reason Ortega has to upgrade to a new bionic arm.
- Kristin Ortega. In the course of his investigation, Kovacs crosses paths with Kristin Ortega, a detective in the Bay City Police Department. She initially catches the case of Bancroft's death but rules it a suicide.
- The Bancroft Connection. Kovacs emerges from his prison - in a new body - for the purpose of investigating the murder of a wealthy man named Bancroft.
