Film producer and Chan's former manager, Willie Chan, is not though. He recently passed away peacefully in his sleep according to Variety. Jackie and Willie would often refer to themselves as brothers, even though there were reports that no talent management contract had ever been signed between them.
Willie Chan became Jackie's personal manager and firm friend, and remained so for over 30 years. He was instrumental in launching Chan's international career, beginning with his first forays into the American film industry in the 1980s. His first Hollywood film was The Big Brawl in 1980.
Willie Chan was born on 22 May 1941 in Malaysia. He was a producer and actor, known for The Tuxedo (2002), New Police Story (2004) and Shanghai Noon (2000). He died on 24 October 2017 in Hong Kong.
