  1. Joe Lee Johnson (September 11, 1929 – May 26, 2005) was an American professional NASCAR Grand National Series driver who won the inaugural World 600 in 1960. He was also the 1959 NASCAR Convertible Division champion. [1] He made his last NASCAR start in 1962.

  8. Joe Lee Johnson served as a principal, coach, teacher and bus driver for Round Rock ISD from 1950 to 1986. He attended and graduated from the district’s segregated Hopewell School, then served as its principal during the desegregation period in 1966.
