Tutankhamun became pharaoh after death of father Akhenaten at age 9 with powerful advisers to help him rule. He reversed many decisions made by Akhenaten including allowing worship of old gods again and repairing damaged temples. He reigned for roughly 10 years before dying around age 18 and was buried in a tomb in Valley of Kings.
Howard Carter discovered Tutankhamun's tomb hidden under debris from other tombs covered by workers' houses in 1907 declared nothing left to find but found it in 1922; took ten years to catalogue finds which included golden death mask, solid gold coffin, thrones, trumpets etc...
