Oct 12, 2003 · Shearer was dull but Martin Tyler is bad enough, hes unbelievably annoying. Andy Grey may not be as bad as Shearer but thats like saying Hitler wasn't as bad as Stalin. I agree Gerry Armstrong is fantastic. My fav moment of listening to commentators was during the 1-5 Germany v England on Sky with Martin Tyler ...

Aug 12, 2007 · Shearer is a legend and his analysis on the game is okay as far as I'm concerned. The point of Shearer is that he's not Mark Lawrenson. And thats just about enough. He is monotone and boring and just because he was a good footballer doesn't mean he knows anything worthwhile.
