Sigi Ziering (March 20, 1928 – November 12, 2000) was a German-born American business executive, scientist, playwright, and philanthropist.
Feb 1, 2002 · Sigi Ziering, 1928–2000. Dr. Sigi Ziering was a man of vision and compassion. He experienced the human condition like few others. He survived the horrors of humankind’s unbridled hatred during the Holocaust and later enjoyed a wonderfully successful life that ended too soon.
Situated within American Jewish University, an institution dedicated to Jewish life and the Jewish future, the Sigi Ziering Institute: Convene programs exploring the role of the Holocaust in contemporary Jewish identity and in American society.

The Ziering Story. We are grateful to this beloved family. Sigi Ziering was born in Kassel, Germany in 1928. His mother’s brother and he survived the holocaust, spending most of their time in the Riga ghetto after being transferred there from Germany.
