Season 3 is the third season of OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes and officially announced by Animation Magazine on June 26, 2019. Season 3 immediately aired on July 7, 2019, a week after the season 2 finale "Dark Plaza" aired on TV. Production started from summer 2018 and ended on August 2019. On August 6, 2019, in an interview with Den of Geek!, Ian Jones...

In this videogame inspired world, K.O. works at Gar's Bodega, a one-stop shop for all your hero needs. Whether he’s mopping the floor with Lord Boxman's evil robots or literally mopping the floor, K.O. tackles everything with enthusiasm.

According to Ian Jones-Quartey and Toby Jones from the What A Cartoon! podcast, before Cartoon Network announced that Season 3 was their final season and it would be twenty episodes long, they had twenty episodes outlined and approved to be fully written and boarded as "Season 3A". The last episode they had outlined before they got the news was "Big Reveal", originally planned to be a half-hour episode that would have served for the 19th and 20th episode of Season 3. They were expected to have the third season to be 40 episodes long which would have the show totaling 132 episodes, with "Season 3A" and "Season 3B". With the lowered episode count, they had to remove at least five to ten one-off episodes to have the final season focused on the story-driven and selected "fun" episodes. In an interview with The Creative Talent Network, Ian Jones-Quartey noted that the series executive Conrad Montgomery notified him before Season 3's production to craft a series finale since other shows got canceled on short notice.

When Chris Niosi asked Ian about production of the final season, he stated that the season would have helped pace the story out better if it had gotten the original 40 episode length. With the season's final form, there are few logical jumps. When T.K.O. goes over to the evil side from "Carl", everything is destroyed before "Dendy's Video Channel". They were not able to do the story of how the world got destroyed. There were a lot more episode concepts where they would have step out from the main story and have more fun along the way. For example, they would have gotten into the situation of K.O.'s custody having a hero mom and a villain dad with eventually Fink getting enrolled in K.O.'s school, with them in a Christmas pageant together.

•This season features new background painting style and a slight color shift of the characters' palettes.

•In the flashbacks of some episodes, especially ones that are not shown in any previous episodes uses the old background art and color palettes. The show's VFX editor, Joel Espana created that effect.

•On July 10, 2019, Toby Jones posted the ideal story order for Season 3 with the first eight episodes of the season.

•On August 19, 2019, he updated the ideal story order for Season 3 without "Let's Fight to the End" and "Thank You for Watching the Show" due to not being announced yet. A small tweak is that "Hope This Flies" is placed before "The Perfect Meal".

•On August 27, 2019, it is updated to include the last two episodes and "Let's Fight to the End" is the penultimate episode.

•This is the shortest season of the series airing for at two months due to having less episode count.
