Tshemba welcomed its first volunteer in 2017, but our story truly begins back in 2014 on a game drive in Hoedspruit, South Africa. Neil Tabatznik is a partner and co-founder of BIGC and a producer with a wealth of experience in the film and television industry. As a co-owner of the Blue Lake Media Fund, Neil has executive-produced a number of successful feature films including Steven Silver’s The Bang Bang Club and Alexander Payne’s Nebraska.
Neil Tabatznik (BA 1972) practised as a barrister in the UK for 15 years, specialising in criminal defence advocacy, and then moved to Canada. There he was Chairman of Genpharm Pharmaceuticals from 1993 to 1999, before founding Arrow Canada, also a pharmaceutical company.
