About Us. On April 23, 1976 a Decree of Erection establishing the parish of St. James the Apostle in Spring Texas was sent to the Holy Cross Fathers. Under their leadership, parishioners from St. Mary Magdalene in Humble and St. Edwards in Spring formed the new community.
