It's a movie, so it all sort of centers around a girl, which is fine, but might not be exactly like your experience, especially since the main character seems to have no problem with flirting with nearly every woman he encounters, which personally has not been my experience.
The thing that's the hardest to contend with about this movie is all the poor choices the characters make while on their adventure. Did anyone check the weather before heading out to the wilderness? Did they bring a map to go along with the GPS?

In the best jump scare of the movie, they nearly collide with an old man wandering on the highway, hypothermic and frostbitten. While searching for his ID, they discover a pile of cash, a hand-drawn map with GPS coordinates, and a single gold coin inside his coat.
Ken Eisner praised the film's twists and impressive handling by director Jason R. Goode and writer Andre Harden, although he had some criticism of the lack of character development given to the female characters.
Though the movie does sort of mock psychologists and psychiatrists (in a hilarious way) but the problems surrounding the disorder and the central character's anguish is well depicted and people will recognize them as almost everyone has felt depersonalized at least for one moment or another.
