Lido di Jesolo is a purpose-built beach resort in north-east Italy, on the Adriatic Sea close to Venice. Its miles of sandy beach, rows of sunbeds and night-time entertainment attract thousands of holidaymakers every summer. Billed by tour operators as the “Venetian Riviera”, this is one of Italy’s few package sun-sea-and-sand destinations.
There are usually around 20 or so grand sculptures, mostly depicting different angles of the nativity scene. Some are even adorned with fountains, pools and gardens. Location: Piazza Marconi, Via Bafile, 1, Lido di Jesolo, Italy. Open: (December – February) Daily from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm, and from 2.30 pm to 7.30 pm.
We stumbled across the lovely little church while strolling along the main road of Lido di Jesolo. How refreshing to find the churches open. In the UK most are locked after masses and services due to criminal activity. A beautiful quiet church with lovely stained glass windows. We lit a candle and spent 10 minutes in the cool calm atmosphere.
