   I've used Demonoid as my primary tracker since 2006. TPB is a backup (mostly used for foreign stuff). Pretty much every other publicly available tracker pales in comparison to Demonoid. Mind, I do use some private trackers, but they're not as full as Demonoid was.

   • Instead, 4 months later it comes limping back online, that makes no sense. It's also known that the original server was handed over to the US government. This really only leans towards two possibilities: 1) it's a trap 2) Demonoid's staff are extremely amateur; either way is not a good choice.

   Is Demonoid still good?

   • This isn't like when SuprNova went down and we didn't have any big trackers for a while. TPB still exists, and is still great. If you follow safe downloading practices (enforcing encryption, not hopping on anything too new) you'll be fine. IMHO one of the best features of Demonoid was the ability to filter movies by video quality.
