Opening Shout-Out: The episode title references a cryptogram in the opening which translates to "STAN IS NOT WHAT HE SEEMS." During the first gravitational anomaly, Dipper and Mabel are floating over their beds, recreating a scene from the opening sequence. The main difference is that both are fast asleep and unaware.
