"Double Take" is the twelfth episode of the fifth season of Eureka.
The people of Eureka are being kidnapped and replaced by body-doubles one by one unless Allison, Fargo and Zane can figure out how to avoid capture and save their town.
•This episode is a reference to the cult classic movie "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" with an SF twist; the only difference is that the doubles are blank mannequins that were supposed to be used for bringing back Holly, but instead created evil versions of themselves. It was later discovered that these doubles are in fact the "Eureka Matrix" vers...
Jul 13, 2012 · For a final season this is very disappointing. And I wonder if we're going to get a Chuck-like ending to the entire series, i.e. bittersweet or a House-like ending, i.e. weirdly irrational. Either of those scenarios will be a disappointing end to the series. At this point, I really don't have much hope and/or expectations for the series finale.
Double Take is the penultimate episode of the Eureka series and the second half of a two-part tale that began with Mirror, Mirror. It is largely dark with a zombie-movie feel, and it works. The duplicate replicants from Mirror, Mirror are everywhere, the future looks pretty bleak, and there is a ton of entertainment in watching the good people of Eureka try to defend themselves from...themselves.
