Desilu Productions, Inc. (/ ˈdɛsiluː /) was an American television production company founded and co-owned by husband and wife Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball. The company is best known for shows such as I Love Lucy, The Lucy Show, Mannix, The Untouchables, Mission: Impossible and Star Trek.
Although purchased primarily for use in the company's television productions, Desilu continued to rent space on the Forty Acres backlot for motion picture production, including the bombed-out town sets in the eastern wedge of the property, immediately beyond the huge silent era reform school set.
