This is an enjoyable movie about a bad marching band that no one wants to deal with until Eddie (Steve Landesberg, RIP) decides he is up for the challenge. There are worse ways to spend an afternoon and I really enjoyed this one.
Eddie is a down-on-his-luck bar pianist who has just been fired from another job. Desperate for work, he finds a school looking for a leader for its hopelessly incompetent marching band. Somehow, Eddie has to whip these kids into shape in time for the big band competition.
