Niels Poul "Tist" Nielsen (25 December 1891 – 9 August 1962) was a Danish footballer who is the joint all-time top goalscorer for the Denmark national team with 52 goals in 38 matches. Nielsen won a silver medal with the national team at the 1912 Summer Olympics.
Poul ‘Tist’ Nielsen was the first superstar of Danish football. Although he played at a time when opportunities for international football were limited, he scored goals at such a rate that he still jointly holds the national team’s scoring record today, more than 85 years after his international retirement.

Poul Nielsen var med på det danske hold som vandt sølvmedaljer ved OL i Stockholm 1912. Danmark blev i finalen besejret af Storbritannien med 2-4 uden Poul Nielsen på holdet. Poul Nielsen was a footballer who represented the Denmark national football team as a striker between 1910 and 1925. He scored his first international goal on 2 July 1912 in a 4–1 win over the Netherlands at the 1912 Summer Olympics semi-finals. [1]
