It consciously emulates the visual stylistics of the Walt Disney Pictures live-action film Tron , in the context of a superhero TV series.

Automan was made in 1983 and is just of 8 episodes, but it is truly a magnificent science fiction drama. It was made when the computers were in their initial ages and were not as fast and intelligent as we are seeing today.
Apr 17, 2019 · Likely due to Automan’s fleeting existence publisher Fremantle has declined to undertake any restoration or remastering work for the series. Subsequently the episodes, though perfectly watchable, are in moderately rough shape overall with minor motion and pixelation issues in evidence (neither being caused by my player!).
