   • Register to Vote by 11:59pm on 18th June 2024

     To vote in the upcoming Parliamentary general election on Thursday 4th July, you should register to vote on or before Tuesday 18th June. To vote in a general election you must be 18 or over on the day of the election. You also need to be a British, Irish or qualifying Commonwealth citizen. You must be resident at an address in the UK or if you are living abroad you must register as an overseas voter. You cannot vote if you have been legally excluded from voting.

   • Vote in Person

     You can vote at your local polling station. You’ll need to show a photo ID when voting but you don’t have to bring your poll card. Once there you’ll receive a ballot paper with instructions on how to fill it out.

     Vote by Post or by Proxy

     You must have registered to vote in the UK before you can apply to vote by post or by proxy. If you live in England, Wales or Scotland you must apply by 5pm on 19th June 2024 to vote by post or by proxy. The deadlines have passed if you live in Northern Ireland, however an emergency application is possible for both post and proxy voting, under certain circumstances, up until 5pm on 26th June.
