Murasoli Maran (17 August 1934 – 23 November 2003) was an Indian politician and an important leader of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party which was headed by his maternal uncle and mentor, M. Karunanidhi.
Murasoli Maran was a Cabinet Minister in the Government of India without a portfolio at his death. The then-Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and many other leaders in Chennai attended his funeral.
