Upinder Singh (born 22 June 1959) is an Indian historian who is a professor of History and Dean of Faculty at Ashoka University. [1] She is the former head of the History Department at the University of Delhi.
Upinder Singh is a leading historian of ancient and early medieval India, with research interests in political ideas, archaeology, and cultural interactions. She has taught at St. Stephen's College and the University of Delhi, and received the Infosys Prize in Social Sciences in 2009.
