BRUCE SOBOROFF. A veteran of the Chicago club and studio music scene, Bruce has been a member of the Buckinghams since 1986. With a background in rhythm and blues, jazz, composing and arranging, Bruce brings both traditional and technologically innovative ideas to The Buckinghams sound.
In May 2010, Abrams and Scheckel left the Buckinghams lineup to be replaced by Dave Zane (guitars, vocals) and Bruce (Rocky) Penn (drums, percussion, backing vocals), who had played with several Chicago-based groups, including the Cryan' Shames for a number of years.
Keyboardist/vocalist Bruce Soboroff has backed Carl and Nick since 1986. In the 1990s, The Buckinghams' tracks found renewed national interest when Sony/Legacy released the "Mercy, Mercy, Mercy" compilation CD.
