A woman finds a romantic letter in a bottle washed ashore and tracks down the author, a widowed shipbuilder whose wife died tragically early. As a deep and mutual attraction blossoms, the man struggles to make peace with his past so that he can move on and find happiness.
Inspired by Jules Verne's 1865 novel From the Earth to the Moon and its 1870 sequel Around the Moon, the film follows a group of astronomers who travel to the Moon in a cannon-propelled capsule, explore the Moon's surface, escape from an underground group of Selenites (lunar inhabitants), and return to Earth with a captive Selenite.
Three siblings, Leto, Mati and Tana, must embark on perilous journeys in order to survive. Message In A Bottle is a Sadler’s Wells and Universal Music UK production with ZooNation: The Kate Prince Company. Message In A Bottle will be available in cinemas across the UK from 30 May – 6 June.
