Ricochet is a 1991 American action crime thriller film, directed by Russell Mulcahy, written by Steven E. de Souza, and starring Denzel Washington, John Lithgow, Ice-T, Kevin Pollak, and Lindsay Wagner, with Mary Ellen Trainor reprising her role as Gail Wallens from Die Hard.
One evening, while Nick and his partner Larry Doyle (Kevin Pollak) are patrolling a street fair, a hit man named Earl Talbot Blake (John Lithgow) pulls a double cross on some drug dealers, killing four men. Nick and Larry intervene and block the escape of Blake and his accomplice Kim (Josh Evans).
After tracking down and arresting Earl Talbot Blake (John Lithgow), a psychotic hit man, rookie Los Angeles police officer Nick Styles (Denzel Washington) is hailed as a hero.
