Viv AndersonMBE. Vivian Alexander Anderson MBE (born 29 July 1956) is an English former professional footballer and coach. He won the 1977–78 Football League title as well as both the 1978–79 European Cup and the 1979–80 European Cup while playing as a defender for Brian Clough 's Nottingham Forest.

The arrival of immigrants from the Commonwealth was hugely divisive, and the reception they received was often less than welcome.
Viv Anderson (born July 29, 1956, Nottingham, England) is a professional football (soccer) player and the first person of African descent (his parents were from the West Indies) to play for England’s national football team (1978). Anderson, 1.85 metres (6 feet 1 inch) tall, was known as “Spider” for his long legs and his ability as a defender in cleanly winning balls in skirmishes.
