Ignazio Abate (Italian pronunciation: [iɲˈɲattsjo aˈbaːte]; born 12 November 1986) is an Italian former professional footballer who played as a full-back. He is currently the head coach of AC Milan's under-19 side. Although naturally a winger, he could also play as a wide midfielder, wing-back, and on rare occasions, as a centre-back.
