David Randall Thom (born August 21, 1951 [1]) is an American sound designer and the current director of sound design at Skywalker Sound . Career. Randy Thom began working at FM radio station WYSO at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio as a volunteer in 1970.
Randy Thom is a two-time Oscar winner and a veteran sound designer and mixer for over 175 films, including The Revenant, The Incredibles, and How to Train Your Dragon. He has worked with renowned directors such as Robert Zemeckis, Steven Spielberg, and George Lucas, and has contributed to five Best Picture nominees.
