Holoubek Gustaw (21 April 1923, Kraków – 6 March 2008, Warsaw), husband of Magdalena Zawadzka, actor and director. In the years 1963–1968 he performed in the National Theatre. Thanks to his acting method, which consisted in shaping his characters on the basis of a rational interpretation of the text, Holoubek became the symbol of modern acting at the turn of the 1960s.
