Thurl Arthur Ravenscroft (/ ˈ θ ɜːr l ˈ r eɪ v ən z k r ɒ f t /; February 6, 1914 – May 22, 2005) was an American actor and bass singer. He was well known as one of the booming voices behind Kellogg's Frosted Flakes animated spokesman Tony the Tiger for more than five decades.
Thurl Ravenscroft (1914-2005) was a versatile performer who sang with various groups, voiced Tony the Tiger and other characters, and appeared in movies and TV shows. He also performed the iconic song "You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch" for the animated special How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
