Mary William Ethelbert Appleton Burke (August 7, 1884 – May 14, 1970), better known as Billie Burke, was an American actress who was famous on Broadway and radio, and in silent and sound films.
Billie Burke was a stage and screen actress who starred in Broadway plays and Hollywood movies. She was married to Florenz Ziegfeld Jr. and played Glinda in The Wizard of Oz (1939), for which she was nominated for an Oscar.
