Bryan Forbes CBE (/ f ɔːr b z /; born John Theobald Clarke; 22 July 1926 – 8 May 2013) was an English film director, screenwriter, film producer, actor and novelist described as a "Renaissance man" and "one of the most important figures in the British film industry".
Bryan Forbes (1926-2013) was a British filmmaker who worked on The Guns of Navarone, The Slipper and the Rose, and The Stepford Wives. He was also an actor, writer, and director, and was nominated for an Oscar for The Whisperers.
