Hal McElroy and James "Jim" McElroy (born 6 April 1946) are Australian film and television producers. They are twin brothers. They are best known for three films they produced jointly in the 1970s, all directed by Peter Weir at the start of his career: The Cars That Ate Paris (1974), Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975), and The Last Wave (1977).

In 1971 Jim joined forces with his twin brother Hal to set up McElroy and McElroy. Their producing debut in 1973 was Peter Weir's first film The Cars That Ate Paris (1974), which became the first Australian film to gain international recognition at the Cannes Film Festival.

With his brother Jim the McElroys produced classic films like The Cars that Ate Paris (1974), Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975) and The Last Wave (1977) and Hal produced Razorback (1984) before moving into business with Hanna Barbera, later renamed Southern Star Entertainment.
