Samuel Bronston (né Bronstein; [1] 7 August 1908 – 12 January 1994) was a Bessarabian-born American film producer and media executive. His films have earned a total of seven Academy Award nominations.
Samuel Bronston was a Russian-born producer who made several large-scale historical movies in the 1960s, such as El Cid, The Fall of the Roman Empire and 55 Days at Peking. He also built a huge studio complex near Madrid, Spain, and faced financial difficulties and legal troubles.
